Academy of Design offers a bachelor's degree in design.

A modern study programme is formed in accordance with the Bologna declaration standards arising from European directives on high education development following the example of comparable related programmes in Europe. Besides common obligatory subjects for all three fields, the study offers the possibility to upgrade general knowledge with specific knowledge from the chosen field of the profession through optional subjects. The co-operation with industry gives the opportunity of parallel vocational practice and new researches in the field of economy. Modernly designed programme gives the graduates the possibility of fast integration in the world of industry and it gives them the possibilities to promote themselves and act on Slovene and foreign markets through practice.

The interdisciplinary and sophisticated new teaching program puts the Academy of Design in Ljubljana among the modern institutes of higher education of design of European format. Special attention is intended to the triangles of knowledge which will in the long term combine the research and business sector and in this way strengthens the importance and role of research work. The aim is to develop the potential of innovation and, consequently, the realization of the latter on the global economy market. Innovations have to be supported by economy and education has to be directed into the needs of the market. In this way only can the triangle of excellence successfully evolve and contribute to the breakthrough of Slovene knowledge on the global research market.
